Conservative Shift Points?

As much fun as mashing the gas pedal in my 7 is, I can't keep doing that. Its not good for the fuel economy. I'm wondering where a good shift point is to keep from bogging down and wasting fuel, but so that I'm not wasting fuel just getting where I'm going.
Thanks
Rick

3.5k all the way. But I don't, since it's no fun. and if I don;t think I can keep my RPM up on the highway, I'll stay in fourth gear, instead of fifth. 3.5k vs 2.1k.

It seemed via some lights on my injectors that my secondaries always came on at 3500rpm..... But yes stay off them and reap in the savings
