Blown abs fuse?
Hey all I was wondering if anyone knows why or what would cause the 60A underhood abs fuse to blow? Now I have relocated my abs unit over to where the battery use to be to get more room for turbo and get the abs outta the oven over there. Also I had to extend all the wires going to it about 5 feet with soldered and heat shrinked connections. Its been this way for a while now so I doubt relocating it had anything to do with it.
Last time I was out driving in the rain I hit the brakes and the abs comes on (cause the rear tires were going faster than the fronts for some reason ) followed by the abs idiot light. After that it stopped working and the tires would just lock for some reason. After I got to where I was going I popped the hood and all over the front driver side of the engine bay was covered in something. I dunno if it was brake fluid or what cause I wasnt low on brake fluid or anything that I could tell. Anyway I came to find out that the main under hood 60A abs fuse is blown.
Why? Or just replace it and keep on going?
