Connecting wiring harness

Do I need to take off my whole throttle body to take off my upper intake manifold? I need to hook my wiring harness up to the fuel rails and everything and I'm not sure what all I need to remove or if I just need a good dead blow. I already have top mount off.

Short answer: no, it stays on the UIM and the upper intake manifold comes off as a unit.

I recommend downloading all sections of the factory service manual. It is an excellent reference.

When I've removed the UIM on my non-turbo, the throttllebody never comes off, it stays with the Upper Intake Manifold.

The throttlebody should come off with the upper intake manifold as a unit. In the factory service manual section "04b Fuel and Emission Control Systems Turbo" on page 4B-61, it shows the components to be removed in sequence and the last part to come off is listed as "Throttlebody and dynamic chamber".

The most challenging item during removal of the UIM and throttle body is the coolant line going to the throttle body. It runs from the rear side housing to the throttle body. I've typically partially lifted the UIM while getting in there to remove the line at the housing. If that line has been on there a long time, it will not want to budge. When I did a hose replacement of everything, I ended up just cutting it. If you've done the TB mod previously and have no lines running to the TB, then disregard. It looks like your current routing may not be factory - I see no lines running along the BAC (or see a BAC for that matter).

Again, the factory service manual is an important resource. Download links can be found here: http://www.wright-here.net/cars/rx7/manuals.html . They are all in PDF form. It's a must-have.

Besides page 4B-61, check pages 4B-59 and 4B-68. 4B-68 shows the original layout and routing of the fuel system.
