Confusing starting issues
So for the past week, my starter has been cranking slower and slower and today it stopped.
I've always suspected my alt or battery, but i took it to kragen earlier today and the guy tested it with his tester, and said it was good for what it was rated for ( 640 CCA...is that enough for an FC?). Then he also checked my charging system with the same device and it said everything was normal. I get like 13.9V during idle with nothing on and 13.7 or 8 with lights on. I also crimped on new leads for the cables. After I turned the car off at Kragen it refused to start, so the guy said it was probably my starter since everything else looked fine, but then I bought some jumper cables, and we tried to jump it. It worked.
I came home and parked it and now it's not starting again. I moved the grounds around and stuff and now the starter spins freely without engaging. Then I measured the resistance from the negative battery post to the driver's shock tower ground. It measured 10.2 ohms. Is that considered to be bad?

Should be like 0.1 to 0.4 ohms. Closer to .1ohm.
But the neg cable connects directly to either the long bolt on the starter or on one of the transission/engine attach bolts. And the batt positive lead connects directly to the starter solenoid.
I'd say bad starter or bad cable attachments at the batt or the engine/starter solenoid. Or bad fittings on the battery cables.

Ok well funny thing is I apparently have no battery ground on the drivers shock tower. But that never stopped me before so I'm guessing that's not the cause. This morning I decided to try it again. And it started, but very slowly. It sounded like it was turning and stopping and turning really fast. Felt like a bad connection of some sort. I cleaned off the starter connections and such and now it just seems to be starting slowly. I guess now the starter is bad?
