Confused now. Please Read

I am reading the FSM trying to test what my ECU error light calls a "Pressure sensor"

Trying to figure out how to test it. Do i need to vacuum test it too?

IN the FSM it calls it the boost sensor? Well obviously i'm not boosting. so what the hell!?

I'm confused with all the terms..

Boost sensor, atmospheric pressure sensor, Pressure sensor.. I have an N/A The Code blinks for Pressure sensor. I need to test that... Please shed some light!!

Evan!

Thats the correct term for the pressure sensor in the N/A. For some reason, the FSM calls it a boost sensor for the N/A car. Its located next to the Variable Resistor by your right strut tower.

You need to vacuum test it, but I would inspect it first.

Here comes the test master hehe JK

Yes the Pressure Sensor/Boost Sensor is located on the passenger side shock tower. You will need to pick up a tool that will create pressure like a mity vac hand pump, and a pressure gauge.

You want to disconnect the vacuum from the nipple of the pressure sensor and connect the hand pump and give the pressure sensor 100 mmHg (or 3.9 inHg depending on what your gauge reads). Then you want to connect a voltmeter to the pressure sensor to see what voltage signal it is sending. Negative on the voltmeter goes to ground (chassis) the positive end poke into the connector (while it is still plugged into the pressure sensor) on pin D. Below is a diagram of the pressure sensor wiring:

C - - A
D - - B

Each ( - ) = a pin this is when you are looking at the connector with the tab/clip part on top. With the pressure from your hand pump @ the exact pressure specified above and the ignition key on your volt meter should be reading 2.8 – 3.2V on D pin if it does not then replace . Have fun hope I helped.
