Red face Condinsation in my trunk...

So I'm in the process of restoring my '91 vert and, so far, now that's cold out I'm finding puddles of water in my trunk after 30+ min drive. I got the car with some cheapo off brand mufflers welded on the back and a menagerie of different sized pipe making up my exhaust. Anyway, I think the hot exhaust is radiating heat to my trunk causing the condensation. The seal around the lid is in good shape because I checked after a rain storm and no water leaked in and also the condensation is kept in perfectly within the seal. So far it's rotted out the carpet and the wood it's stapled on and I'm getting rust in the the holes where the jack and spare tire sit. I have even gone to home depot and picked up insulation and fitted it to the trunk to reflect the heat back... My car still has the heat shields above the exhaust so I'm at a loss at what to do here. Any suggestions?

Yeah, you don't have a condensation problem, you have a leak.

Yep ty for the help i pulled the carpet out that covers the spare tire and found the bottom of the headliner wet along with a pad full of ants and mold. So i tossed the pad cleaned it all up. Then followed the trail of water up to where the glass sits in the rubber stripping. So i will be getting some sealent for that soon lol
