Question Condensor (grounding capacitor) and Oil Pressure Sending Unit Question

Well, today I discovered that my oil pressure gauge isn't working. I traced the problem to the Condensor (which isn't working, no reading on a multimeter at all). However, I'm confused about something.

Ok, I know that the Yellow wire with the Red stripe runs from the oil pressure gauge. What I'm confused about is whether the wire connects directly to the condensor or the oil pressure unit itself. The reason I'm confused is that there doesn't appear to be any means of connecting that wire to the sending unit (I certainly don't remember disconnecting a wire from underneath the oil filter).

The condensor is shown in the wiring diagram (now that I knew what the grounding capacitor was called), but the sending unit confuses me. Is there a direct connection to the oil pressure unit itself, or does it run off the condensor only?

The condensor is a capacitor, so your meter would read anything on it anyway. Without a Capacitance Meter it would be impossible to say if it was good or not.

It must be grounded/mounted to work.

The wire for it "T"s into the Yellow/Red oil pressure gauge/sender wire. The other end is the mounting/grounding hole and metal.

So, that wire connects to the Condensor and there is no connection on the Oil Pressor Unit itself?

The yellow/red, connects to the oil pressure sender. Then on its way back to the dash, it "T"s off the Yellow/red to the condensor as well.

just like a car stereo capacitor,
one wire from the battery, goes through the cap, then onto the amp.

all the same wire,

other side is just a ground

But is there a connector on the oil pressure sending unit? Because I don't remember disconnecting one when I replaced the battery cables. The wire does T off to the Condensor, but the wire leads to another connector (4 or 6 conductor) and the other goes under towards the starter.

The yellow/red wire hooks onto the end of the oil pressure sender.

The same wire splits off and goes to the condensor (as well as the gauge).
