A little condensation is not abormal if you don't do a lot of driving and/or if your driving is mostly short distances.

I bought this car in November and I have put approx. 650miles, and over half of those were driving it back from bristol TN to MO. Should I start driving it more or is there a way to get rid of it all together. I have read the lung mustard thread and you might as well be talking in german. Any ideas will be GREATLY appreciated

Put some vacuum on the crank case, if we could call it that.

Cold temps and short trips will make this phenomena more apparent. It's not a problem. You will notice that it magically disappears when the outside temps are higher and/or the engine is adequately warmed up.

Cool. One more question how can you put vacuum on the crank case. Is it like taking a shopvac and doing it, and where would you do it at? THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP, Eric

condensation is normal, the rx-8's have a real bad time with it. looks like goop from off-white mayo looking mess to a gerber babyfood green sometimes on them in color. drive the **** out of your car for a change. and it does seem to be weather related like Go48 said, colder weather it is more apparent. also like he said short trips can cause it, car not warming up enough to get rid of it.

That will happen from the vasoline and other materials used to put the motor together. Should go away after few thousand miles. G
