i bought a 88 gtu non turbo but saw that there is some wires cut, right under the glove box then i got the little box and wires from another rx but what is it what does it do?

sounds like it might be the dopey Mazda amp for the front speakers, just a guess

 

Theres also a box under there that controls some of the dash functions.

 

Hard to say. There is about 2000 wires under the dash of an RX-7 (well, not that many, but it might as well be!) and a handful of little boxes with wires connecting to them.

Can you find a picture on the net of the box, or describe it for us?

 

Could also be the factory alarm
