compressor belt question
i own an 86 n/a,and i dont think the a/c has worked for about 3 years so im junking it.if i remove the compressor,wil i need a new belt that is shorter?i dont have power steering,and i have a stock fan. and also,will removal of the condensor make the car run cooler? i have been able to find everything about this procedure through "search",just to let you know i tried before i posted.thanks

With no AC compressor you need no AC belt.
With the stock fan you need two belts to turn it at higher revs.
Usually the air pump is the second belt, but it you remove it, you will want a dual alternator pully & belt.

oh i know,it just didnt work and i dont want to spend the money to fix it,im a windows down person.what does the air pump operate,i know my cat makes my 5th and 6th work,so what does the air pump do?
