compression tube

Ive done a bit of searching and havne tcome up wiht much. Has anyone made theri own custom compression tube or modiffied the stock elbow to have the inlet point in the right direction/be the right diameter? Ive seen a couple of people who used the plastic N/A elbow, but i dont want to deal with plastic. Is there anything i should be aware of when designing the compression tube? I would prefer to make it myself as opposed to buying one. But if it will be cheaper to just buy it then i will do that

Thanks

if that ^^^ is what you're looking for they are often for sale in the parts forum, usually much cheaper than brand new from a supplier and in perfectly fine shape.
