Compression Tester??? BROKEN?

Hey so i compression tested a motor that was reading 75-75-75 front and 35-40-70 rear. This was done at the local rotary shop by me.

Now i wentand bought a cheap one from autozone, but its only reading like 50-50-50 for the front and 30-30-50 for the rear.

Mind you all the coolant and oil has been drained from the motor because i am swapping it out. Maybe thats why there is a discrepancy? Or do you guys think i should just go ahead and try to return it?
