Compression Check ?

I want to check the compression on my 7 and reading about doing it I found some how-to's saying to place the checker in the upper spark plug holes and some say to place it in the lower. which is correct?

Doesn't matter where you put it really, but the lower hole is best since it has the widest opening to the combustion area.
