im suprised no one thought of a simple problem he didnt address on top of the other problems yall have pointed out...

while i respect you for thinking out of the box, how would you stop the "pressurized" air from escaping back out of the filter IF you ever managed to get more air than your engine could ingest into the intake? The "pressure" would just leak back out through the filter...

Not gonna work

I've spent the last 5 years as an air compressor/system tech in a hardware store. I get someone with your idea probably once every couple of months. NOT ONCE has anyone had it work properly. I've only had 2 people crazyy enough to try it, and both found that they couldn't carry enough air. One guy actually went as far as to put an 80 Gallon air tank into his civic! What they both found was that by the time you find and purchase the parts to do it, you aren't all that far ahead. You'll still have to custom-build your regulator, 'cause nothing flows the kind of air you need without costing WAY too much. It DOES work apparently, but not for long enough to make any noticeable difference. Just do a turbo driveline swap. It'll be easier, and maybe cost less.

Dood teh 13B engine is like 1.3L. A 15L tank would last you like 12 revs. At 3700rpm thats like less than 1 second of boost lol. Also air compressors aint cheap.

It's only $4 to fill a tank, and it's safer because it isn't as cold as nitrous. This can help fix a weaker low end.
Is this a joke??? Do you really think buying a nitrous kit (~$500) and using CO2 instead is going to "help fix a weaker low end". OMG.

Nitrous is NOT compressed because its super combustable. Nitrous is not combustable. F&F really brought out alot of misconceptions.

Compression doesn't "crap a seal". Pre-detonation does. Alot of compression is what you want. Unless I lean it out??? Leaning out a AF mixture is what is going to "crap a seal".

LMAO about CO2 in the nitrous tanks...thats pretty much the worse idea ever. If I worked at a store that filled up paintball tanks and some ricer came in with a NOS bottle to have it filled I would lose it...I don't think I'd be able to keep a strait face for long enough to fill the bottle.

The compressed air idea would probably work, but you would need a tank the size of the car and some huge fittings to make it push enough air, even then I wouldn't be surprised if it ran out in under 10 seconds. I can just imagine some ricer civic pulling a huge trailor full of air tanks around so he could hit his boost button and make 200hp for 10 seconds, I guess thats all you need though if you live your life 1/4 mile at a time

As posted before, volume is the problem. Short bursting is not new. Look at "Thomas Knight Turbos" electric superchargers. 4-6 PSI for 15 sec.

JC Whitney has CO2 injection kits. Doesn't add up for me!

Never going to work. Not a remote chance in hell that it ever will. Thanks for keeping this thread basically civil, but we're done here.
