ok so i started up the engine today (WOOOOO) anywho its idling rough, 1000ish and its rocking around like if its blown when i lower the idle (oh god i hope not) when i rev the engine after warm up i can almost sware i hear a leak, and the rev's bounces at 4k? now this, my tranny isnt wired up to my harness due to the fact the my starter harness is shorter to the t2 tranny and im trying to figure out which wires goes where (color codes are different) my ecu box is 332, rhd j-spec harness, and a mazda luce 929 turbo 2 engine which si a s5 block with s4 n318 sensors and afm, well heres my question. does my tranny not being hooked up cause the shift up light and buzzer to stay on, hazards come on as soon as i turn the key on happens then stops on its own? my front lights are unplugged my rear light work fine and function well maybe that could be the cause. can my secondary injectors be dirty and clogged? what might be keeping my motor from revving only to 4k? idk shot up some ideas please

hmm i know theres a write up in here on adjusting tps, ill try that but i doubt it

 

Check for vacuum leaks like at the i/c, rats nest, etc. Im not sure what would cause the car to stop revving at 4k but I dunno if you can use a jdm harness on a usdm car but it sounds like you should work out your electrical issues first.

 

stop. get all your electircal completly finished first then try again

 

and yes the tranny connectors control the shift up light.

 

ok yea the jdm harness includes the rhd plug for the cas, of course its un-needed and works fine especially that it has the plug to the knock unit eliminated : - / idk if vacuum leaks would make it bounce tho....

bump? i checked today and i found that the tid was falling off, that helped out abit but i still hear a hiss so i know for sure theres a vacuum leak, but can a leak really cause the motor to bounce at only 4k rpms? im doubting it

it would be nice to have a diagram on all te grounding points and where they connect to

 

Fix the vacuum leaks. They will cause all kinds of havoc.

Ground locations are shown in the FSM.
