Comparing water and air temps. Post yours.
After driving the other day, I checked my water and air temperatures on my power FC commander.
This was after moderate driving, and letting the car idle for about twenty minutes.
The water temperature read: 195.8 °F - (91 °C)
The air temperature read: 116.6 °F - (47 °C)
This is what I saw during driving.
The water temperature read: 188.6 °F - (87 °C)
The air temperature read: 98.6 °F - (37 °C)
I am just curious to see what other peoples temperatures are, and whether or not mine are too hot/cold, etc.

My water is about 195 driving, but cools to 180's idling. Can't say what my air is while driving. My engine bay heat soaks like a **** though. I see 140 air temp after driving around and letting it idle. I'll have to do some logging and see what's going on during driving.

Tonight I drove my car and noticed the water temp reading was 213.8 °F (101°C). Doesn't that seem insanely hot? I know I should be running more water, but in a 50/50 mix, would too much antifreeze cause this sort of reading??

213* isn't too hot. Were you driving it hard? When things start getting north of 220* I start thinking about cooling off; that hasn't happened on my street car, but temperatures like that can be normal when racing. Heck, my electric fans don't even kick on until 205* (thanks arghx.)

I do run the stock clutch fan. From what I read, the clutch fan may be screwed, and I really need to run more water than coolant. I'm really considering an electric fan.

temps taken at tb elbow via haltech datalogs.
corksport rad with stock fan, modified corksport shrout.
stock undertray
stock topmount
cruise : 190f to 195f depending on outdoor temp
idle :185f
iat at idle ; it depends. i usually go from 100f to 130f
cruise; 90f to 100f depending on the day
after boost ; 150f max then tapers down.
