Is this possible???? Ok Im riding to port st. lucie and its about 2 hrs from my house.....THe thing is that Im buying an engine from this guy, and I want to make sure the engine is good before I hand him the money...You know it is $1000 for a TII motor and I want to make sure its running good, only problem is that he doesnt have it in the car..... what would you people do, wait to get home to do a compression test or not buy the motor???? Is there even a way to test it out, with the engine being out of the car???

 

if the trannys still on it hit the starter with a battery and it should be fine.. if not you can turn the engine by hand and listin, thats the best you can do

 

listen??? but unless it has a really low compression or no compression at all, then I wouldnt be able to see if its having low comp, right??? And the engine is out of the car...
