Comming out a Hibernation

Aight Guys,

Here is the dilemma that I am faced with. I didn't think my car, having 140,000 on the car, and not really knowing how much on the engine wouldn't make it from Maine to North Carolina. So what I did was "put it up for my first year of college." I did all of the stuff, topped off antifreeze, topped off gas and added stabilizer, took out the battery and covered up the car along with blocking up the exaust from pesky little creatures. Furthermore, I fogged the engine with marine fogger so that nothing would go wrong. Now this is pretty much what my dad does to his boat and is exactly what you all said to do when I asked. Now my question is, should I start the car up upon my arrival at christmas. Or just leave it alone and hope that it will start in the summer? I am fairly sure it will it is just that I don't have the money to fork out for a new engine. Anyway throw any and all comments at me.

I suggest you try and start it at Christmas. Start it and let it idle until it is at full operating temperature and then maybe another 10 minutes past that.

You will not use enough gas to need topping off again. So the only thing you might do is to fogg the engine again, plug the exhaust back up and pull the battery off.

I would leave it alone until you are ready to drive it again. 10-20 minutes of idling isn't going to burn off the condensation that is built up in the engine and exhaust and it will just form even more nasty compounds to corrode and gunk stuff up
