No my car has problems cold starting. The gauge works fine. The connector on the filler neck seems to be broken.

yeah my sensor is actually broken it will spin if you turn it by the prongs that are sticking out of it...but by my DMM it still is working properly and i cant pull any codes off of my car either, the lights light up and then go dark so i suppose that means there are no codes. im starting to think it is low compression in my case but i did the poor mans compression test and had 3 even loud pulses from each rotor with the plugs out so i dont know.

A whopping 400 miles, but it has had the same problem on the previous motor.

I have the same problem..

have to start it about 5 times before it finally catches.. and this is whether I hold my foot on the gas a bit or not, it starts up and then shuts off just like it's running out of gas (kinda like on a first gen GSL-SE when you pull the RPM switch which disables the injectors but keeps spark going, it runs then dies).

Its on the coolant filler neck. Right below where the alternator bolts on.

Ya I cut one off of a junk car, and spliced it onto my wiring harness. The connector looks like um... a connector. The sensor is DIRECTLY below the bolt that holds the alternator on.

i just went and tested my spare water thermosensor as the FSM says and it was dead on at 176 degrees the sensor read .29k ohms which the FSM says it should be .32 +-.032 so its within spec. im going to go swap it over to my car along with my spare plug and hopefully i will be starting when it is below 40 farkin degrees!!
