Cold Start Question

I know the normal cold start in the engine is supposed to go to 3000rpms but mine goes up to 4000rpms. This worries me. Is this a problem and if so how can i fix it?

Don't worry about it.

You may have an additional vacuum leak though.

As long as it flies to 4K, then drops to about 1500, then falls to 750 as the engine warms up, then everything is working as it should.

There is a thermal switch on the bottom drivers side of the rad. It has failed closed or become unplugged and shorted.
