Cold Start Off?

Cold Start Off?

Can anyone tll me a write uip, or make a write up on how to remove the cold start system, i don't really have any cats to warm up so I don't need it. I have npo idea where it is, but its just useless now so i want it off, hehe, let me know.

there is a solenoid valve under the UIM its on the same big bracket where the other 5 solenoids are on teh pass side. the cold start solenoid is pretty big and has 2 large hoses goign to it, one goign to the upper intake manifold, and the other comming fromt eh intake pipe, basicly what it does is bypass teh throttle bodies and when the engine temp is cold it opens so that more air can get past the butterflies and u get that 3k rpm warmup, now i dont knwo if u can just disconnect the plug goign to it, not sure if it will throw a code on teh ecu. but another way to do this is to remove both of those hoses and plug up the forming holes. good luck

I don't know if the turbo and n/a's cold start are differnt....but I removed mine on accident really. I was pulling the turbo and ended up snapping off one of the nipples. On the t2's it's located between the intercooler and the IC piping. Basically just unbolt it from the mannifold, disconnect the two hoses, and cap them off.
