Question Affordable HKS airflow meter adapter?

Is there anywhere that they sell the airflow meter adapter by HKS for less than $20 or does anyone know of another one that is by another vendor but less expensive?

yeah, I got one of those. the ports on the adaptor didn't quite match the ports on the AFM, so I had to port it a little, but it was easy, and cheap.

I think that $20 is the going price for these, and then there's shipping. It would be difficult to sell them for less, and the HKS adapter is a good product because the adapter transitions well from round to square. The home-made adapters I have seen are just a pipe welded to a baseplate, and there is a resulting lip which hurts the airflow. You may want to see if anybody in your area has recently converted their 86-88 RX-7 to an aftermarket EMS and no longer needs their HKS adapter.

BTW, be sure to check the dimensions of the available space in your car before you order a filter. I have known more than one person who bought a filter that didn't fit.

I am not exactly sure what to buy, but you can use something from home depot. I believe its something to do with septic or something. I'll find out and let you know. My friend did it but I'm not that ghetto. If $20 is too much for the adaptor, what are you going to do for the filter though?
