COld solder joints.
DOes anyone have a write up about how to fix the cold solder points on the idiot lights? I just bought a soldering iron and would like to get some info so that I can fix the stupid flickering clock. Thanks

that should do u good for now..it isn't that hard...did mine in about 30 mins and they been working great...just take out the idiot light panel and take it apart a u will see, looking very closely, some broken/thin solder joints...just heat and add new solder and your done, this mainly fixes the clock... u'll also have to fix the CPU joints as well--this is what makes the idiot lights not work right...just follow those instructions and u should be able to do it!!
just go over all the larger pins and any that look
kind of "dry" . all you have to do is remelt the solder
adding a little as you go.
it doesn't take long to go over them all
then you know for sure they are good, takes me about
10mins to go over the cpu thing and 5 to go over the
warning lights. just did the logicon (or how ever it is spelled)
last night took all of 5 mins and now all the
led's work again
later
