when i drive it i always let it get to temp, even if i just start it to move i let it run till it warms up

and ya, i know its low, i'm hoping it will hold up through the summer so i can rebuild my spare this winter and put it in next year, sad it doesn't even have 110K on it

my bad, I never saw this thread bump after I responded. The redlining I answered in the thread, my throttle cable came out've the groove and jammed the throttle open slightly

bedroom is DONE

gas smell in the oil (NOT under my covers at night, styx, you haven't found the right woman, mine will at least joke about it, AND loves my 7) from what I was told not to worry about it, I really think my side seals are going bad though and its leaking past them slightly

 

side seals would account for some additional fuel in the oil but not so much for low compression. expect your rotor housings to be in pretty bad shape, hopefully i'm wrong and it's just carbon.

 

I would hope too because it doesn't even have 110K on it and it runs amazing. Just the oil reeking of fuel scares me

And i wouldn't think carbon, i try and redline once a day (fully warm of course)

 

redlining can only get loose carbon off, if the carbon is old and caked on then almost nothing can get it out.

 

Touche', i did a water injection last year, but i know the same thing applies. I just hope she keeps kicking, it idles perfect, starts every time hot or cold, just gonna keep enjoying it until i can save some cash to rebuild the other engine i got sitting in my dining room

 

a decarb could help get it off but to get the really baked on carbon requires heavier measures, like water injection and heavy loads combined.
