Cold engine idles low/stalls
I just purchased another RX7, an 88 TII this time. Roughly 5k on engine and turbo, taken good care of. One problem I have noticed is that when the engine is cold, upon starting up it will idle extremely low (to the point of stalling.) To combat this I give it a little throttle until the engine warms up and it is fine. I dont think the idle adjustment screw is the answer because once it gets warmed up it idles great at 750, although every once in a while it will bounce up to 1000-1200 rpm then back down to 750, usually 3 times in quick succession (but I guess I'll save that one for another post.)
Any ideas what could be causing this, or how to fix it would be great.
