Certainly sounds like a fan issue, if you are looking into efans check out the mercury villager/nissan quest fan. Its got a great shroud, draws less amps than the taurus (although I would upgrade from the shitty s4 alt before any efan swap) and blows like a tornado even on the low speed (like -10° in 10 sec)
yea, in cool climate driving the FDs i notice the fans almost never come on unless you're in boost. however they don't turn on until 97*C. but generally if you're moving and everything in the system is copasetic they don't need much cooling unless you have a monster turbo on the car and a fairly aggressive tune.

I'm looking into dual MR-2 fans. Trying to do this with as little modification as possible, as I don't have many tools and live in an apartment. =P

Yeah - if I keep moving, the temp gauge is bang on between 1/4 and 1/3.

who's to say he won't try and come back and rip on me? then again i'll simply post pictures of that FD engine with welded exhaust port sleeves, i simply don't know how he can defend that one. chunks of metal going through the turbos generally isn't good for them. it was lazy and cheap, too cheap.
listen I aint a fan of the $1000 rebuild but some people have little to no money, some people ask for these things to be done even when advised not to. Im not saying the guy is right or wrong but I dont think its fair to talk about it thats all.

One day one of your old customers might go online somewhere and spread false information or not provide the whole story . Not saying this is the case with that FD engine im just saying its not cool to talk **** about the guy and I have no allegiance to him whatsoever

Hi guys -

Just providing an update. I ended up bypassing the heater core entirely (until I find the time to remove it and clean it properly) by looping the line.

No leaks, so that's good. However, it's still getting a bit hotter than I'd like. Highway driving cools it down a bit, but not to an acceptable level.

Included is a picture of what the heat gauge read after a bit of driving (and red lights). Also included is a video of how much the clutch fan moves after the engine is warm (do I need to replace it?)

So are you stating that Keven Landers ripped off a bunch of people then left? That is exactly what your post sounds like.

Maybe you should clarify...just so no one misunderstands.
