All i ever hear is godspeed is cheap which clearly it is. Looks like a waste of money. I have heard many good things about powered by max (PBM) & stance. If i ever feel like dumping the money i would get PBM. If the dampner blows replacments are $100 each which is great. Just my opinion.

Personally I bought a set of godspeeds since the price was right and I wanted something 'entry level'. Unfortunately I dont have them installed (car doesnt run and im debating selling it and all my parts for it anyway). The coilovers themselves look good and solid, which beats whats on the car which is blown and the front spindle mounts are about rusted through.

get powered by max coil overs they are around your price range and are the best for what you pay. they can go super low and you can chose spring rate. stay away from godspeed imo

I know some people with PBM. Even seen them fresh out the box. Quality looks great, not cheap looking whatso ever. Seems more legit then megans and god speed. Its suspension we are talking about here, dont cheap out.

BC racing over megan any day from what I've heard. For sub 1k coilovers.

I have PBM's, they're great. I've had BC's on another car and I loved them. They do not go low, at least with scions, subarus or toyotas, unless you go with the extreme low option. Call BC and they'll let you order custom spring rates with shorter springs/shock bodies.

I have BC's and love them. Best bang for the buck, and replacement strut is $95 minus shipping obviously.

megans on my car, they are fine on the street, obviously i havent took my car to any track events..

I want to slang them and pick up PBM coilovers in the future when i get my car running sometime. I think their prices gone up in the past 2 years, but price reflects quality most of the time. http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms/page.php?9

If you look really hard sometimes you'll find some tein coilovers, or megan's racing being unloaded for around 1k. Do a little research and be honest of why you want your coil overs. Remember that with stiffer stuff the ride becomes a little more uncomfortable. Also if you're not planning on pulling some nasty corners laying down some sick track times maybe your best option would be getting some Tein lowering springs and some KYB aftermarket shocks.

So, to summarize:
1. Be honest with your application
2. Remember that you will need a camber kit (costs extra)
3. Don't spend money on racing suspension if you're looking for a more aggressive stance.
4. Deal search like a ****, people are unloading stuff for cheap now because the economy is suffering!

Above all I would like to state the obvious, function has nothing to do with looks. Once you pick that path you're about to go down you generally can't have both unless you have some serious cash backing.

Good luck!

OH! I did forget to tell you one last important bit of information.

It's your car and you should treat it however the hell you want regardless of what others think! If you want lowering springs and nice shocks for decent turning and a super aggressive stance get down with your bad self! If you want some coil overs so you can rip your face off in the corners more power to you!

Just don't let what another person thinks you should do to your FC cloud your vision of what you want it to be. The real magic of these cars is their ability to transform in to whatever you want them to be with hard work and effort.

Whatever your decision is reward us with some pictures I am excited for your FC to get that much cooler!

I think bottom line if you know your suspension is going to be used for superior handling whilst driving like a jack *** on the road you should perhaps consider investing a little more in to the application of which you intend to use them .

I have heard good things about Megan Racing, but there are plenty of other great brands out there to research. When spending 1k+ you should definitely spend the time researching which one is going to be the bang for your buck.

Also, I too drove like a jack *** every time I got in my FC for a really long time. Then I went to a track, which I have to admit was the best decision of my life. There is nothing you can do on a road that you can't do faster and more aggressively on a track. Also, there is no fear of tickets or completely screwing up your car when you're doing it. Every new lap gives you a chance to push the envelope just that much more, something you can never experience on the street.

I'm running D2's and I love them! The best budget options would be D2's, Megans, or PBM. I put them all on about the same level of quality/ performance, and the price points are pretty close. So IMO it's basically a matter of preference among those 3.

You get what you pay for.. I would haunt the part-out threads for a bit before you spend.

I've heard PBM is bang for your buck, but I heard of their aggressive spring rates as well.
And if you change out the springs with a lower spring rate, it may ride like crap because the struts aren't valved for the lower spring rates? How true is this statement?

Go PBMs or Stance i rock pbm and my bro rocks stance and there both beautiful coils on the track and on street. megan and Tien are poop since they blow to easy. i heard BCs are alright on other cars not sure about the Fc. friend had d2s and he said they were poop compared to pbm.

i always thought their coilovers for fc's was always 1000.

they do, however, have the new pro coilover that lets you adjust caster. you also get more negative camber due to the design of the lower mount.

i had some zeals that were 9/7 and that was already stiff for dd but great for drifting.

can someone verify his statement? i agree 8/6 spring rate seems to be just right for the fc.
