clutch slippage

to start i ran the search and came up empty handed, with that done onto the problem:

i bought the act street and strip and heavy duty clutch.
To make a story short i sent the tranny to be rebuilt and when putting the tranny and new kit it doesnt hold enough pressure between the plate and flywheel. What was discovered is that the pressure plate was shorter than the stock so we put the stock plate and still the same...... if anybody has had the same problem and what the solution was let me know its been 3 months since my rotary fix and i'm going through withdrawl symptoms....dj

p.s can't call act they are off due to good friday

Sorry, but what do you mean it doesn't hold pressure? If you installed the disc, then bolted the pressure plate down, the disc can't move. Be certain the disc is installed correctly. Most should have tag for flywheel side. If not the flat side toward the flywheel. If installed reverse, the hub will hit the pilot bearing.

what i meant was that there is no pressure when disengaged to really clamp onto the disk, there is some pressure because the wheels spin but when you accelerate there is no movement.....dj
