Clutch slave stuck extended
Just put a new transmission in.
I'm trying to hook up the slave cylinder to the transmission but the rod is fully extended and its no where near lining up with the bolt holes.
Is there a way to make it so I can push the rod back into the slave cylinder?

I did and it wont budge. It spit a little fluid and that's all.
I ended up having to beat it back in with a screw driver and a hammer with the bleeder out.

Well the guy said the trans came out of a s5 na which is what I put it in. But, I did have to take the mounting bracket off of one of my TII trannys to make this trans work.
My bracket from my previously installed n/a trans bolted to the trans on the sides at an angle and this trans had the bolt holes on the bottom like my TII tranny.
So I'm not 100% sure.
It got stuck extended though because the clutch pedal was pressed when I had no trans in the car.

if it's na to na then it will be fine. my reference was for a turbo transmission using the na slave which will extend further.
and be sure the clutch pedal didn't drop to the floor while working on the car. which will commonly lock the slave cylinder from depressing since the port in the master cylinder is covered in the full down position(requiring cracking the bleeder to press it in).

I cracked the bleeder and had to use a screw driver and a hammer to tap it back in. Its all good and hooked up now. Just gotta bleed it in the morning and finish filling with trans fluid.
