a bought a clutchmasters for my na that was cheap and had the pressure plate, to bearing, and pilot bearing. i think it was like $150ish. it hasn't been that bad of a clutch.

I don't think you're looking at a clutch problem per se, but more likely a problem with the hydraulics. Check the clutch master cylinder, the line to the slave cylinder, and the slave for evidence of leaking fluid.

yeah....if your 'clutch' was shot, it would still have pressure, unless the pp broke or something, im not sure. I think it most likely is a leak in hydrolics

I would have to agree with everyone else. It dosent sound like the clutch has "gone out". If that were the case you would still be able to get it in gear, but the clutch just wouldn't "grab" the flywheel.

If there is no fluid the slave is shot, if there is fluid but no pressure its the master cylinder.

well according to drox, that measn the master is shot, which is alot cheaper than a clutch... put a new master on and bleed it and you should be fine. I think mazdatrix.com sells them, or one of those sites

The same exact thing happened to me this weekend. I had to drive around clutchless until I could park it somewhere... and in Houston, that was a big PITA. I also need to replace a throwout bearing, so I'm going to get it done altogether now, along with a new Centerforce... although maybe I should've gotten an ACT now that I read more about the Centerforces.
