Clutch setup for 300whp

Hi all , i currently have a ACT x-treme pressure plate with a 6-puck unsprung disc. This setup is hardcore and i bought the car like that. I have problems engaging 1st gear at times and problems shifting into 3rd if i am pushing it....

Anyone could recommend me a more streetable clutch setup? cause im looking forward to swap out this existing setup before i break something.

I am more into auto-x the car so i need something more than just an on/off clutch ....

Pls share your experience here. thanks

why don't you just downgrade to the ACT HD, and organic street disc with sprung hub?
that would hold enough.. and is a pretty setreetable clutch. I am running that disc but with the XT pressure plate. so far no problems and it holds the power VERY WELL

ACT Street/Strip is what you want. Easy to drive and will hold 300 easy. I think the rx7store even has a light flywheel/clutch combo. Thats where I got mine.

well , im not worried about gripping force but a compromise of good clutch engagement and disengagement .....
streetability wise so its nice and fun to drive around not just hardcore gripping force

i drove a Evo with a ATS twin plate and have to say twin plates have super nice feel and grab so nice

I myself have a HKS twin plate that is sitting in a box waiting to be installed

I don't wish the suck of a unsprung hub on anyone.. i hated driving a car with that setup.

yes
They have universal pullers,
If not they will just grind it out and put the new one in.

You have about twice the clutch you need. It's not the solid center that makes it harsh, it's the friction material. Swap out the disc and it will hold up fine. It's probably still more than you need.

not to thread hijack or anything but would you use the same clutch for a 300rwhp car as you would for a 350rwhp car?
