lol. If you install it correctly it works fine. I'd personally get it installed professionally, they don't charge that much, especially if you buy the system from them.

well if you were installing something like that, (and for what ever reason you don't want to say) you are going about it entirly wrong.

You would hook up the start output from the remote start to the other side of the clutch lock out line... You would not ever bypass the switch.

Of course you would use the Neutral safety wire at the ECU as well so that you can not start the car in gear (which I guess introVert was not aware of).

and then I am not sure what Kenteth is saying either, since every RX-7 I have owned (all manual trannys), I have installed remote start on, without any problems and never needed a new starter.

You just need to install it correctly and make sure you have a neutral safety wire hooked up.

FUKENEH! i am not installing a remote start!!!11!1!one!!
i will tell you. i want to install a secondary "safety switch" for security purposes so my car doesn't get jacked. this will be the 3rd switch in my car that needs to be flipped for it to start.

Hmm, TB mod on my vert... idles and starts just fine.

Perhaps you mean no BAC... and the throttle body mod.

I generally can not hear my car in the house even though my exhaust is far from quiet.

And a remote start will only try and start a car three times before giving up (well unless you buy the cheapest or all crappy remote starts)

Useless where you are trying to do it, as the factory mazda security is still down stream (between the factory clutch bypass and the starter) and won't prevent anyone from just jumping the starter.

If you want a second or third kill, kill the ignition with a relay and the key sense circuit (so it can't fail while driving) or pull the EFI fuse when you park.

It is the two green wires... happy??? I am sure that helped him out completely, well that is if he is trying to do a starter kill that can be bypassed in 4 other spots 100 times easier.

And frankly why wouldn't he just unplug the plugs at the clutch switch each one at a time and see which one wouldn't let him turn the key to start the car??

Because doing a kill on those wires only prevents the key from starting the car... wouldn't protect the car one bit from being stolen... well I guess it would stop the thieft that stole his ignition key.

So that is why I asked... you may think I am being (hmm what did you say, oh yeah, you said:
a snot
. Or it could be I am actually helping the guy before he wastes all his time with something that will only give him a false sense of security.

But then maybe if he actually had some details in his post, it wouldn't have gone even this long.
