clutch replacement time
I was wondering about how long would it take to replace a clutch disc on my 87, N/A, manual, 7?
I was thinking it would be about 3-4 hours, but my friend (who knows more about cars then me) said it would be an all day thing, like 8+ hours.
Also if anyone has any tips on doing this please post.

Personally I think it's more based on a "have you done it before" sorta thing. If you've done it a few times its easy and goes faster. First time might be alittle slower.

It all depends on whos doing it, if you have any help, your tools, if you've done it before, if any problems come up etc. I had everything on the floor about 2 hours into it but then I had some complications and it took me the better part of 3 days to finally drive it off the lift.

it also depends on if you are going to surface the flywheel. some shops wont be able to provide the surfacing same day. but if you are going with a lightend flywheel and new cluch pressure plate throw out bearing and pilot bearing you should be ok. just remeber the flywheel surfacing, and dont forget that nut is a b*tch to get off...lol
