CA clutch question

so i finally got my car running rite, and to my suprise another problem..
The other day i was coming back from working and i was playing a lil civic,
n bfor i knew it, there was a red light i was going pretty fast n i dint wanna run the light so i was force to try to stop.
i hit The brakes and down shifted hard in to 3, then 2, then (stupidly) into first..
by the time i did that my clutch was on da floor n it would not *** bak up...
so i kept pumping it until it came bak up, then i drove bak home just in second gear/shiftihing at 4000 with no clutch..

now i knew my clutch was a lil weak.
but my question is should i assume that my clutch when out or can it be something else?

thanx..

(sorry for spelling grammer)

I know when mine when it just slipped like hell and the pedal was still kind of firm. I would say to check all your clutch hydraulics and bleed the clutch first. If you already know it is weak then you might as well replace it because its even weaker now.

Stuck pedal is an indication of hydraulics. Do yourself a favor and get new OEM Master and Slave Cylinder and splurge for the braided connecting line.

yea it has nothing to do with your actual clutch not coming back off the floor in the cabin. most likly your slave is leaking, go to advance and get a reman one for 40ish dollars and install. its ontop of the front of the tranny just after engine on drivers side. follow the tube from the resivoir and its easy to spot..stop playing with civics or other ricer economy cars..saves alot of time and gas on your part

the slave cylinder is about 2 weeks old, i replace it do to leaking..
wut i forgot to mention is that the line from the slave to the master cylinder, was
also leaking but i beanner riged it by putting some duck tape n a hose clamp...
but its not leaking, but would it be letting air in the hydro system?

stop playing with civics or other ricer economy cars..saves alot of time and gas on your part
too much fun...

tommorow imma bleed the system n c wut happends.
ill keep u guys up dated

^ +1, make the proper fixes on your car or sell it.

Your master is probably ready to go out too, hydros seem to always go out together.

so i bleed the hydro system and it did get a lil stiffer on the clutch,
but its making a real bad grinding noise like the clutch is trying
to grab but it wont..it will go into gear but it is hard as hell to put it in..
so i guezz new clutch?

well dude having that big *** leak in the system most likely destroyed the whole hydraulic system. To much air in the system and the seals blow out on them. Smooth move now replace your slave and your master, add new lines and get your self a nice clutch kit.
