Clutch problems
Ok Im still trying to get my car back on the road, and im trying to troubleshoot a problem that happened a few months ago. I was pulling into a friends driveway, downshifting from 2nd to 1st, and as I stick it into 1st the tranny goes Bvvvvvvvvvvvvzzzzzzzzzz, and the stick kicks back hard into neutral. It then went into first and I proceeded into the driveway. After that I noticed that somtimes it will go into gear, sometimes it wont. This is for every gear, but 1st and reverse seem the hardest. It is as if the shifter is "locked-out" of every gear, and then only after repeated trials it will just magically slip in. When in gear, the car drives normally. Any ideas? People have said clutch fork is bad, need tranny fluid, or hydraulics are bad. Any help and/or tests to figure out what is wrong will be helpful.

You can try buying shifter bushings. I've heard people say that they had problems shifting and that solved it. I don't think they are too expensive, so could be a cheap fix.

Check the shifter busings before you buy any, Change the gear oil in the tranny its cheap and easy and helps alot to improve shifting, pour some gear oil into where the shifter mounts (that helped mine alot), check all you clutch lines and master and slave cylinder for leaks and proper operation.
