Clutch pedal not coming back up, help

So today upon driving my clutch gets stuck down near the floor and wont come back up by itself like it normally does. I've already replaced the clutch slave and bled it about 6-8+ months ago.

I'm having to pull the pedal back up with my foot when it gets stuck , also whenever it gets stuck it makes it very hard to engage the clutch because its wanting to engage right away.

Can I fix this by bleeding the clutch slave again and/or will the be only a temporary fix ?

Is this a problem probably due to air somehow leaking into my system ?

Help please.

Awesome now go replace your clutch master cylinder. The seals have worn away and are slowly letting fluid by the piston inside. Happened to me during an autocross. While I was at the line ready to drop the clutch the pressure plate started to grab and stalled the car.

Are you sure this is the problem ?

If so then will I be fine buying my replacement from Autozone/Advanced Auto ? I'll probably be doing the work myself and have a friend help me bleed it, I've done brake master cylinder before.

Also installing this, it looks like the studs will probably go through the firewall...so does this mean I'll be having to get up under the dash to remove/bolt it back in ?

I would hope I can do it without having to remove the dash or anything like that, its only two bolts.

Yes, autozone is fine. Yes, you will have to get under the dash. No, dash does not need to come out. My car is doing the same thing right now.

I had the same exact problem a couple of years ago, in a 300zx. Replacing the clutch master cylinder fixed it.

When you replace it, make sure you keep your receipt/proof of purchase for a little while. The one I got had a little leak where it connects to the pedal. Watch out for that. (It's not such a big deal if you don't mind cleaning your carpets often, though )

Clutch MC

I just replaced the master slave and hose. You describe the reason. The job will be easier if you first unfasten the relays, etc surrounding the MC. I suggest replacing the hose with a braided one for better clutch feel. There are two bolts underthe dash, one on each side of the steering column. The left one is slightly hard to get at. The clutch free play should be adjusted. Check the attachment.

If the seals are bad and the fluid is leaking past if you start your car in first with the clutch pedal to the floor, keep your foot to the floor if the fluid is indeed leaking past the seals the clutch should start to slowly engage(make sure your brother or friends are not standing infront of the car) eventually the clutch will engage and staLL out the engine if its leaking past the seals...
