Clutch not completly disengaging after warmed up?

Its hard to explain, however once the car has been drivin for an hour or so, if i go into nutral without very quickly choosing another gear, i cant getinto another gear. However if i shutoff the car, it will let me select a gear, and when i go to start it the engine, the car will lurch forward as if the clutch was not depressed.

Weak master/slave cylinder?
Fulid problem?
Clutch instalation issue?

Supposivly the clutch is relativly new and is a centerforce DF, however i obviously cannot verify it w/o pulling the tranny

Any sugguestions?

Check the hydraulics first, if it's heat related, it's probably the slave that's giving you fits...

quick word meaning question....
couple of my friends were arguing about whether clutch engaging meant depressing the clutch pedal or clutch disengaging meant depressing the clutch pedal...
anyways... don't mean to hijack the thread... just had the though

Depends on how you look at it and how you use the words... oh the joy of English.

If you're speaking of engaging the clutch from the standpoint of the clutch pedal, then pushing it down would be engaging it.

If you're speaking of engaging the clutch from the standpoint of the actual clutch, then letting the clutch pedal up would be engaging it.

Depends, if you're a liberal, it means one thing. If a conservative, another...Kind of like the "glass is half full, or half empty" type thing...

To me clutch engaged means the pedal is up, and the tranny is locked to the engine via the clutch disk...

To you, it might be the other way around, lol...

I had this happen to my car, and the throwout bearing was shot... If you haven't already, upgrade to the turbo2 version. (i haven't yet and i've gone through 3 to bearings)

I know the t/o barring is somewhat bad, i can hear it. However i made the situation a good 75% better by adusting the the rod that depress's the mastercylinder thats connected to the clutch pedel. I had maby 1/4inch of rod showing on the inside and i set it flush, i could probaly move it another 1/8th w/o worring about it not being secure. We shall see. Possibly throw a braided cluch hose in place of the 17year old rubber one for the time being before i swap the tranny. Reverse sincro's are um.. not there. A TII t/o barring is a must with the swap.
