Talking Clutch Master Cylinder Going?

So I was out for a joy-ride the other night and I pulled into this parking lot in the middle of nowhere to turn around when my clutch pedal lost all pressure. Even when pushed to the floor, I couldn't shift out of first. Then the car would die whenever I barely let off the clutch. Finally I turned it off and let it sit, came back and now everything is back to normal. Is my Master Cylinder going or should I be looking for something else?

(Also I searched and didn't find anything specific.)

Check the rubber boot on the slave cyl. Any fluid squeeze out of it? That would be the other place the fluid will go. Also look for turbulence in the master cyl. reservior when some one pushes the pedal, that will be your other clue.

The other notorious place where fluid leaks is the Master Cylinder, inside the car. It leaks out of the master rod and leaks into your carpet where you probably wouldn't notice it without looking specifically for it.
