clutch kit w/o pilot bearing seal

I'm looking to replace my clutch and thought I'd try ebay and i found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2434509956

I did some searching and found an exedy clutch is a decent choice for a midly modded car like mine. The item listing doesn't mention a pilot bearing seal so i emailed the seller asking if the kit came with on and he said no and that he wasnt aware of the rx-7 needing one.

I searched some more and found that it's highly recommended to use a seal, so here's my question. If i were to buy this kit, would I beable to buy a pilot bearing seal from some where else and still work fine with the pilot bearing included in the kit? And woudl i beable to get a seal locally or should i order form mazdatrix? Thanks!

I was able to get a pilot bearing seal at the local Autozone. Granted they had to drop ship it as there are not many RX-7s around here, but it was cheap... like less than $5.

The Haynes manual I know for a fact states that a pilot bearing seal is to be used when reinstalling the transmission after a clutch change. You should bottom the seal against the bearing to ensure a good seal.

Some pilot bearings I have seen have a seal built into them and a separate seal is not required. They are cheap so if you don't trust the one they send you go buy one from the dealership.

BTW: Check out my signature. I am seeling a clutch on ebay and it is currently much cheaper than the one you are looking at.
