clutch issues

hey i was just drivin normal after gettina speeding ticket for doin 15 over and i had the clutch in to downshift and it wouldnt go in or out of gear. when i took my foot off the floor i realized the cltuch was still there. so i had to drive without clutch. any clues or ideads on what i can check

Its either the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder.

Most likely the slave. Have someone work the pedal back and forth and listen for a squirting sound at the slave. Or watch your reservoir go empty. Either way, DONT DRIVE LIKE THIS!! Get a new or reman one ASAP!

Or, try bleeding it. SOmetimes, that is all it needs.

thanx for the advice. where are the master and slave cylinders for the clutch located at? also where is the bleedre at? i am at school a the mone so i willl be leving soon. or bneed to anyway.

The clutch master cylinder is located on the firewall, right next to the brake master cylinder. Follow the metal line to the flex hose and to the slave cylinder. The slave is mounted on the tranny. The bleeder screw is on the top of the slave cylinder body. Dont bleed it without extra brake fluid, bleeding empties it fast!!

I would seriously try to locate a good one very soon.

hey when i went out to the parking lot i fucke with the pedal some and started it up and it was fine so whats the deal with that? also i am going to bled it right nowand i have plenty of fluid so thanx for you advice.
