Clutch has no pressure?
Clutch has no pressure?
My car is a FC S4 1988
I was waiting for the red light to turn green at an intersection. As the light turned green, I tried to change gears but couldn't because the pedal to the clutch was depressed all the way, then my car stalled. I had to put the car in neutral and push it out of the intersection and onto the curb. It was embarrassing and tiring because I had to steer and push the car out of the intersection. I had triple A towed my car home.
My problem is that the pedal is depressed all the way? Does anybody know the problem? Did my clutch burn out? My brother said it had to do something with the master cylinder or something like that. I am planning to buy parts for the car as I am trying to fix it.

either your master cylinder is internally leaking, or the slave cylinder is leaking.
Usually, when replacing either one, its always best to replace both at the same time.

yes it is more than likely your slave clinder which can be bought for 35 bux from advanced auto. the slave cylinder sits on top of your clutch and is visible when you raise the hood. Same for your master cylinder. Post back if you need a picture.

So did you replace the master cylinder or slave cylinder (I would do both)? if so That most likely happened because fluid from the clutch master reservoir gets sucked in to master cylinder and shoots pressure to the slave cylinder creating pressure allowing for the clutch pedal to shoot back towards you. that also means you just had air in the clutch lines.
Hope this helps!

I had the same problem, maybe a little different. I was on my way to work and it wouldn't go in gear, no stalls but just won't go in! So I bought the master and slave and replaced em, and it still wouldn't go in. After bustin opening my transmission, I found out my clutch was demolished.
good luck
