clutch grabs too high.

is there any possible way to adjust how high up the clutch grabs? Mine grabs right at the very top, so high that it cant engage fully, causing slippage during hard acceleration. I need to make the damn thing grab where its supposed to but am not sure if it is even possible to adjust how high up the clutch grabs on an s5 na. anyonE??????

Someone said there is a rod coming from behind the firewall you can use, try bleeding your system too, if that doesnt work your clutch is just FUBAR'd slippage is the best sign of a bad clutch

the ****** thing is new

heres the deal:

i got the car with a five puck copper racing clutch, and that lasted about 3000 clicks until is started slipping so bad that the car wouldn't go above 10mph. i had an extra stock clutch lying around so i changed them in my driveway by myself....i also switched from an s5 to an s4 tranny because my old tranny was on the outs. Also when the old clutch went, it left some pretty deep score marks on my flywheel, so i had to get it machined.when i put everything back together, i realized that the clutch was grabbing up so high that it wasnt engaging fully. And this is where i stand. ive been told that the shop took too much of my flywheel, and i hope this usnt the case. anywhoo, any suggestions would be cool

when you swithed trannys did you use the s4 or s5 slave clyinder? I think you have to use the S4 one now.

that might be your problem.

either that if you did swap them. that ment you had to drain the fluid. so maybe you didn't bleed it right.

Hmm, if it is your flywheel you might as well replace it with a light weight flywheel from Mazdatrix

Someone here said theres a rod near the clutch pedal to adjust the "pickup" point but if its slipping its the clutch, the Five puck clutch might have glazed if you didnt break it in properly

have you adjusted the free play on the pedal. It is possible that the person that had you vehicle had to adjust it. It should fall a certain amount before it grabs and that might just be your problem. That may have also killed your last clutch
