Exclamation Is this clutch disc okay?

So, I was inspecting this clutch disc that I had bought used and I noticed something that I did not when I got it. It has a small dig in the contact surface, almost like something fell on it. The side also has a dig in it. What I am wondering is, is this disc okay to be used? The car it is going in is a 1990 GXL and will not be run very hard or often. No drag racing, autocross, and so on... I am more concerned about it blowing up and taking off my or my fiance's legs than anything else. Pictures below...

I still don't get this "take off our legs via blown clutch disc" non-sense that I keep hearing about...but anyways...

It should be fine. Can I ask why you didn't opt for a new clutch?

There is no used clutch worth putting back in.

Serious? You've never heard of scatter shields? Spin something that weights 10 pounds at 9000RPM. Now take 25% of that mass and let it go. It'll travel with a good amount of force.

Your clutch disc weighs 10pounds??

Wow... thats like half the weight of my flywheel..
Probably close to the weight of a pressure plate, _maybe_ (havn't checked that..).

I shattered my old clutch disc pretty damm good... I stll have my legs...
Now if my flywheel/pressure plate exploded.. now there would be a problem..

I used a 2nd hand(12A ) clutch disc behind my turbo motor for a while.. and a remanurfactured 12A pressure plate..
Worked ok for a while.. started to slip pretty violently near the end though..
Moral of the storey, so long as its not warped you will most probably be fine, thats usually the only time you have problems.. pitting in the surface isn't a _huge_ deal.

I did not opt for a new disc because money is tight and this car will not see that much action. It just seemed more economical to pay less money for used one than to get a brand new one.
