Clutch
Clutch
I have a 1987 TII. Every time im letting the clutch out going into gear there is a squeeking that comes from clutch. Im not sure what it is, the clutch isnt slipping in any of the gears through any rpm. I thought it might be the throw out bearing but just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before, any help is appreciated.

it could be the fingers are a little bent, or your cluch already is hazed, that means you are in need of change soon. dont drive to far cause it could be going. mines did that and i ignored it till i got stranded, the clutch was glazed over and a out ring had developed really bad on the clutch cover fingers.
might be the piston from the pedal into the master. mine is slightly bent and it rubs on the rubber grommot on the firewall. if you hear the seaking from inside the car thats is what it most likely is. although if you can hear it from outside the car then it might be the release fork or something internal , but just remember if the clutch is working fine and a its just a small squeak then i wouldnt pay much attention ,, you have to remember that the car your driving is like 18 years old. but if its working fine not slipping or sticking i wouldnt worry about it
yea, check the easy stuff first. On my 88 TII, when I first got it running if I would push down the clutch pedal then I could hear like a constant squealing and the engine rpms would start to die down. The throw-out bearing was acting like a brake on the pressure plate (which is bolted to the flywheel) which slowed the engine down. And it only squelled/squeaked when taking off, shifting, or messing with the clutch. if you diagnose it to the throw-out bearing, you probably wouldn't have to replace it immediately, but keep in mind it would be ******* up the teeth on the pressure plate, and the clutch might start slipping if it doesn't allow it to completely engage. just my $.02
