clogged exhaust symptoms
clogged exhaust symptoms
ok heres my drawn out story, non drawn out style:
my last cat before the y-pipe fell apart in itself.
i gutted all of them
1) hit the gas, rpms fly up, speed does not.
2) bucking going up hills
because of #1 i decided to be safe... new clutch, new pressure plate, new throwout/pilot bearings
still same problem
guy at rotary shop says 'sounds like clogged exhaust'
so im thinkin some of the cat (before i gutted it) went back into the y-pipe or one of the mufflers?
engine is fine. compression is great. idles perfect. no smoke. not eating coolant.
racing beat exhaust is on the way. think ill be ok until then? (couple of days) or should i unbolt the y-pipe and ride semi-open until it comes?
i only drive about 1 mile a day total (until this is fixed)
lemme know what you think
