clock?

clock?

my clock or the lights next to the clock dont work. i heard their all suppose to turn on when u turn the key. the only ones that turn on are the door and the hatch but thats only when i open them? are they suppose to light up when the key is turned? anyway to fix it? how much is a new one?

Hello. The idiot light panel has a bad reputation of having cold solder joints. You might want to take it out and check them first. If they are good then you might have some bad bulbs, but I would suspect the solder joints first. These were bad on mine and hardly anything would work or would just flicker on and off. After resoldering the joints it has worked flawlessly!

Check the room light fuse (drivers kick panel fuse box), and that the panel is even plugged in. I have fixed two now that simply were not plugged in tight.

If you have to replace the panel remember that there are three different versions of the panel, the 86, the 87, and the 88-91. The 86 and 87 are interchangeable, and really the biggest difference is the clock color is green on the 87 instead of the red/orange of the 86.

The 88+ however requires a new trim panel as well, but IMO looks the best.

seen the panels used on Ebay for about $20.
