I have this issue now too. I thought I was getting a bad ball-joint or control arm bushing, but I checked all that and its fine. The sound is definitely coming from the caliper area. it seems that the rotor is slipping a little before the caliper locks down. Maybe it is the caliper sticking? Anyone solve this one yet?

Usually the clicking noise occurs under moderate pedal pressure. The pads are walking inside the caliper. As stated in a post above, the noise stops if additional pressure is exterted on the pedal. This is similar to the squealing noise under light stopping. If the pedal is pressed hard the noise is not audible. This is because under hard stopping, the piston(s) hold the pads tightly against the rotor and does not allow them to move. Need good brake hardware, or new, installed with the pads.

i had a clicking noise every time i hit my brakes lightly also, since i did my brakes it hasn't happened

make sure all the v-pins are there connecting your pads, and check wheel bearings...the nut on the end of my axle before the bearing was loose...tightened it up and did brakes and the noise went away

just my .02

My noise went away when I rebuilt the front calipers and put a new hardware kit in.

my guess is that the pads are binding on the guides from inadequate lubrication or the pistons are sticking in the caliper and pop out as you increase pedal pressure. My car does it when im at a stop and pump the brakes. the only solution in my head is reman'd calipers
