Clear Coat on Factory Paint?
#3
Haven't we ALL heard this
I can not give you the facts you are looking for. However, I can give you a quick test to figure it out on your own.
Pull the tab off of a soda can. Then take the tab and lightly drag it across a section of the paint in question. If it leaves a grey mark you have no clear coat. If it doesn't leave a mark. Clear coat. The mark wipes off. Do not fret. Just do it in an inconspicous area.

i'm not 100% sure on specifics, but the solid colors do not have clear and the metallics do.
