Cleaning up engine bay help
Hi, I'm Russell.
I just dropped my motor and transmission, and the engine bay looks like a mess. I'm doing a GXL to a full t2 conversion. I plan on not running any emissions or air conditioning. I was going to paint the bay, but are there any wires or pipes coming from the fire wall that I can just plug up/cut/yank out? And personal experiences? Pretty excited with a lot of stress on top for this build haha

Deleting the AC declutters the bay significantly, the way you handle the rest is up to you.
Mazda engineers had to allow for every possible combo of options in the bay, which leaves a lot of components in odd spots, like the evap canister, for instance. Rearranging the stock stuff can lead to a pretty clean bay.
There's a thread in the non-tech section all about engine bays...worth checking out.
