Turbo II TMIC bracket needed?
Doing a Turbo II swap and I realize I don't actually have the bracket that attaches the TMIC to the engine.
How much of a necessity is this part? I'm assuming it's going to be needed as I'm going to be dealing with boost. Without it, the TMIC will only be bolted on the upper intake.
Anyone run without one?

not required.
ive ran with out them, the IC can be more prone to popping off at higher boost levels at the throttle body elbow side,
good hose clamp and maybe something tacky on the IC may help with it tho.
you can at least bolt it down on the intake manifold side of the engine to sort of stabilize it....
also be weary with no bracket the IC can get dangerously close to the alternator, and I have seen them wear a hole in the IC with a max stretched alternator belt!
it should be ok, but if you have problems with it look into finding a bracket, or making something out of a metal bar.

I use hairspray and good t-bolt clamps on all my boost pipe connections, never had one come off...but then again I don't run super huge boost on any of my turbo cars either, usually just 10-12 psi. Highest I've run consistently was 15 psi.
